The Football Association Women's Super League (WSL FA) is the highest league of women's football in England. The League consists of two departments, the WSL WSL 1 and 2. It is run by the Football Association and began in April 2011th. An initial eight teams competed in a department, the FA Premier League Women replaced as the highest level of women's football in England. The FA WSL 2, was introduced in 2014, has a second division and other 10 teams in the league.
There is promotion and relegation between the two divisions and planned funding for 2016 from the FA Women's Premier League (Level 3), which play a winter season continues. WSL season running from April to October. Qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League in the following season, the WSL champion and runner. The current champions Liverpool. Arsenal, Barnet, Birmingham City, Bristol Academy, Chelsea, Colchester United, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Everton, Leeds Carnegie, Leicester City, Lincoln Ladies and Liverpool, Millwall Lionesses, Newcastle: Sixteen for a place in the first season of League applied Clubs United Nottingham Forest and Sunderland. Leeds Carnegie later withdrew their application. Women Premier League club Blackburn Rovers and Watford refused to apply. FA chief executive Ian Watmore described the creation of the League as a "top priority" in February of 2010.
